Easy White Bean Pizza Sauce

Simple ingredients means no trips to the grocery store. Yeah!!! If you have time, make this sauce ahead of time and refrigerate to allow the flavors to develop for an hour or so.

Ingredients

1 - 15 ounce can cannellini, butter beans or garbanzo beans

2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves - substitute with thyme, savory, or herbs de Provence

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons water

Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth and creamy, stirring down the sides as needed. Depending which bean you’re using you may need to add a little more water. This is delicious to use right away but if you have time, refrigerate and let the flavors develop for an hour or two.

  2. Spread desired amount on a fresh or pre-made pizza crust and load on your favorite toppings.

  3. Bake pizza as directed based on the crust you’re using.
