Smoky Hummus

Want your hummus to have some serious irresistible flavor? Add some liquid smoke and you’ll skip the dippers and head right to this hummus with a spoon. It’s that good! It’s also a great addition to wraps, sandwiches, on top of burgers, or thinned down with a little aquafaba and use as a salad dressing.

Ingredients

1 - 15 ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon fresh squeezed orange juice

1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon brown mustard

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, this is your secret weapon, do not omit

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor and process until smooth.

  2. Serve with fresh vegetables as a dip or as a sandwich spread.

  3. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. That is if you haven’t eaten it all in one sitting.
