OMG BBQ Sauce

Smoked paprika and chipotle powder are the secret weapons in this BBQ sauce. It’s super quick and easy to make, and full of smokey, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors, you’re going to want to slather this on everything!

Use on grilled tofu and tempeh, for dipping Air-Fryer Potato Wedges or drizzled on a Baked Potato.

Ingredients

15 ounce can tomato sauce

4 tablespoons tomato paste

1/3 cup distilled white vinegar

2/3 cup pure maple syrup

1/3 cup unsulphured molasses

1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice

1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke

2 teaspoons reduced-sodium tamari

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon ground mustard powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

2 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into a medium saucepan, whisk well, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. Carefully pour sauce into a quart jar, allowing it to cool before storing in the refrigerator. Use within 7-10 days.

Yields approximately 4 cups
