Non-Dairy Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

Why chocolates on Valentine’s Day?

Chocolate is considered an aphrodisiac food and said to contain a substance that inflames desire and makes the beloved one more open to romance. According to science, there might be some truth in old legends. As per recent studies, women who eat chocolate are said to show more desire for romance as compared to women who don’t eat chocolates. This might be because chocolates release brain soothing chemicals which increase energy and desire levels. Chocolate is proven to produce natural high which elevates mood and often equated to feeling in love.

Let me start first by saying; it doesn’t get any easier than this!

Ingredients

2 Tbsp cocoa powder or cacao powder

2 Tbsp liquid sweetener such as agave or maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup dairy-free milk, I use Cashew Milk

1/4 cup chia seeds

Garnish

  • raspberries

  • strawberries

  • mini chocolate chips

  • nuts or seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl add the cocoa powder, liquid sweetener, vanilla extract, dairy-free milk, and chia seeds. Whisk together until all ingredients are combined.

  2. Let the mixture sit without stirring for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, give it a good whisk again.

  3. Either leave in the mixing bowl or pour into smaller serving dishes and place in refrigerator. These can sit in the refrigerator overnight or for a minimum of 6 hours.

  4. Remove the chocolate pudding from the fridge an serve with your favorite garnishes.
