Oil-Free Basic Stir Fry Sauce

This is a delicious Basic Stir Fry Sauce that can be used with a variety of vegetables; broccoli, carrots, celery, snap peas, zucchini, mushrooms, red peppers, red onion.

Ingredients

2 tsp cornstarch or tapioca flour

1 Tbsp rice vinegar

2 garlic cloves, pressed or minced

1/2 cup vegetable broth

1 Tbsp soy sauce, tamari or coconut aminos

1 Tbsp liquid sweetener - agave or maple syrup

2 tsp lime juice

1 tsp chili sauce such as samal oelek

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. In a small dish combine cornstarch and rice wine to make a slurry.

  2. Combine all ingredients into a small saucepan over medium heat and stir.

  3. Bring to a simmer, stir and remove from heat and set aside.

Serve over brown rice, quinoa or zoodles.
