Savory Walnut Spread
Ingredients
1 cup raw walnuts
2 garlic cloves, peeled
1 Tbsp low-sodium tamari, low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
1/4 cup water
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Process until you have a rich, creamy texture. Yes, it’s that simple!
Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Variations
Add 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard, this is yummy spread on a Black Bean Burger.
For a spicier option, add a couple pickled jalapeno slices, or more based on your liking. Better yet, add fresh jalapeno!
Add 1 Tbsp chipotle pepper sauce for a smoky flavor.
Love pimento cheese? Add 1 tablespoon diced pimentos or roasted red peppers.
