Spice Seasoning Recipes

Taco Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp Paprika

  • 2 tsp ground Cumin

  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder

  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne

  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1/4 tsp Oregano leaves

Fajita Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder

  • 2 tbsp Paprika

  • 2 tbsp ground Cumin

  • 1 tbsp Oregano Leaves, regular works fine but Mexican oregano is even better

  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne

  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Greek Seasoning

  • 2 tsp Basil Leaves

  • 1 tsp dried Dill

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tsp Oregano Leaves

  • 1 tsp Parsley Leaves

  • 1/2 tsp Rosemary

  • 1/2 tsp Thyme Leaves

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon

Cajun Seasoning

  • 2 1/2 tbsp Paprika

  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tbsp ground Cayenne

  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Oregano Leaves

  • 1 tbsp Thyme Leaves

Chili Seasoning

  • 2 1/2 tbsp Paprika

  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tbsp ground Cayenne

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Oregano Leaves

  • 1 tbsp Thyme Leaves

Old Bay Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Paprika

  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tsp ground Cayenne

  • 1 tbsp Celery Seeds, ground in spice grinder or mortar and pestle

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seed, ground in spice grinder or mortar and pestle

  • 1/8 tsp ground Ginger

  • 1/8 tsp ground Allspice

  • 1/8 tsp ground Nutmeg

Italian Seasoning

  • 4 tsp Basil Leaves

  • 1/2 tsp tbsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 2 tbsp Rosemary, ground in spice grinder or mortar and pestle

  • 1 tsp ground Sage

  • 1 tsp ground Marjoram

  • 2 1/2 tbsp Oregano Leaves

  • 2 tbsp Thyme Leaves

Pumpkin Spice Seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons ground Cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons ground Ginger

  • 2 teaspoons Nutmeg

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground Allspice

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground Cloves

Chai Spice Seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons ground Cardamom - or substitute with 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons ground Allspice

  • 2 teaspoons ground Nutmeg

  • 4 teaspoons ground Cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons ground Cloves

  • 6 teaspoons ground Ginger

Ranch Seasoning

  • ¼ cup Dried Parsley

  • 1 teaspoon dried Dill

  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder

  • 2 teaspoons minced Onion

  • 1 tablespoon dried Chives

  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Chicken Style Seasoning

1 cup Nutritional Yeast Flakes (I buy mine at Trader Joes), it’s also available in the bulk section of many grocery stores

2 tablespoons Onion Powder

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 tablespoon salt free Mrs. Dash or similar type of seasoning

2 tablespoons dried Parsley

1 1/2 teaspoons Celery Salt - optional

1/2 teaspoon Paprika

1/2 teaspoon Savory or Thyme

1/2 teaspoon Sage

1/4 teaspoon Turmeric

Instructions

  1. All ingredients used in each seasoning blend is from dried form.

  2. For each blend, measure ingredients into a small bowl and whisk together until well combined.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a small jar or container, I like to use a funnel to make this step easier.

  4. Store as you would any dried herbs and spices.
