Savory Plant-Based Gravy

Ingredients

1 cup water or vegetable stock

1 Tablespoon nutritional yeast

2 Tablespoons chickpea flour

1 teaspoon cornstarch or arrowroot

1 Tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce, tamari, or coconut aminos

1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning or your favorite seasonings such as Mrs. Dash or fresh herbs

Instructions

  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a small saucepan until smooth. Turn heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-6 minutes until gravy thickens. Adjust seasoning to your desired taste.

Note:  Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled depending on the number of people you’re serving, plan on ½ cup minimum per person.
