Creating the Perfect Veggie Wrap in 3 Easy Steps
This is more like a tutorial rather than an actual recipe to teach you how to build a healthy and satisfying veggie wrap.
Choose Your Wrap
Any whole grain tortilla or wrap will do!
Choose Your Smear
Hummus, Plant-Based Sour Cream or Mayo, Non-Dairy Cream Cheese, mashed avocado, Dijon mustard, or any nut butter.
Choose Your Filling
Your favorite greens; mixed greens, arugula, spinach, micro greens, sprouts, basil leaves, chives.
Your favorite veggies; cucumber, carrots, red onion, bell pepper, jicama, avocado; sliced thin into matchsticks. There are no rules, it’s your wrap!
Your favorite seeds; sunflower, pepitas, sesame
Assemble
Spread your smear choice onto the tortilla or wrap, spreading out to the side edges.
Layer your choice of veggies on the bottom two-thirds (closest to you) of the tortilla or wrap. Don’t get carried away, you need to be able to roll it.
Begin rolling the bottom of the wrap tightly toward the top, tucking in all of the veggies as you go, securely sealing as you reach the top one-third.
Cut in half and enjoy.
